Automated data migration from Oracle legacy ERP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O

For Bucherer, CONSENSO TECH supported the migration of core master data from an Oracle-based legacy ERP database to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O. Extensive SQL migration scripts were developed, legacy data was cleansed, and the existing data structures were conceptually mapped onto the new D365 data model.

As part of Bucherer's global ERP transformation, core master data had to be transferred from the existing Oracle-based legacy system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O. The challenge lay not only in the technical extraction of the data, but above all in the conceptual mapping between legacy structures grown over many years and the target model of D365 F&O.

CONSENSO TECH supported Bucherer in building extensive SQL migration scripts to extract data from the Oracle database, transform it and prepare it for migration. Data quality and cleansing concerns were integrated directly into the migration process.

The focus included customers, suppliers, products, product attributes and further ERP-relevant master data. By closely connecting the technical implementation with business-led conceptual data modelling, the migration could be built in a structured, traceable and repeatable way.
