Quotation automation for SIA/CRBX-based construction costing

For Lotti Partner AG, CONSENSO TECH developed a calculator to automate the quotation process. The solution processes SIA/CRBX files, draws on historical reference data and NPK catalogue information, calculates plausible unit prices and exports the costed quotation back for import into SORBA.

Lotti Partner AG produces several hundred quotations a year for plastering, drywall, façade and ceiling work. The previous process was largely manual: tenders arrive as a PDF and a CRBX file, are imported into SORBA and then costed using experience, quantities and unit prices.

CONSENSO TECH first supported Lotti Partner with a feasibility study and then developed a web application to automate the quotation process. The solution analyses CRBX and SIA files, recognises relevant data fields such as NPK codes, descriptions, quantities, units and prices, and converts them into a standardised internal schema.

Based on historical reference data and catalogue information, the calculator computes plausible prices for new quotations. Features such as minimum price logic, a confidence indicator, import history, a mandatory quotation name, NPK catalogue validation and rounding and unit logic keep the costings traceable and ensure the export back to SORBA works reliably.
