ConsensoConnect for product data and order automation

For Paul Ullrich, CONSENSO TECH developed automation for product data and inbound email orders. Supplier factsheets in Word, PDF, Excel and CSV are converted into a product schema, enriched with multilingual product copy and prepared for ERP import. Inbound order emails are also translated automatically into ERP orders.

Paul Ullrich regularly receives product factsheets from various suppliers in very different formats, including Word, PDF, Excel and CSV. This information has to be structured, enriched and taken into the ERP system. At the same time, product copy for different channels and languages carries specific requirements — for spirits, for example, where certain terms may not be used.

With ConsensoConnect, CONSENSO TECH developed a solution to automate product data and order processes. Supplier data is extracted from different file formats, converted into a uniform product schema and prepared for further processing. On that basis, product copy is generated for tastings, web shops and other websites — multilingual and rule-based, including requirements on permitted and excluded terms.

Inbound email orders were also automated. Orders arriving by email are interpreted, structured and translated into real ERP orders. Two core operational processes are therefore automated: product data maintenance and order capture.
